Nathan - the fitness demi-god - is back with another tip for us.
This is one that I myself am battling with a little bit at the moment (although part of it is I know my diet is the biggest challenge for me ) - Don't worry Nathan - I promise I'm working on it dude.
(Q) For many people when they start a structured training program, they lose weight tone up and see results quite quickly - but then the results often plataeu. For many this is often quite disappointing and can really impact enthusiasm.
Why does this plateau happen and what are some strategies to continue the good results?
(A) - Hi Damien
The plateau can occur because the body has adapted as much as it can with the current exercise / nutrition regime.
To minimise this effect you need to vary your training e.g., types of exercise / intensity / reps / sets / rests this will keep the body guessing and having to adapt.
A change is recommended every 4-8 weeks on average
