Cruising is not everyone's cup of tea - but I have to tell you - I have been hooked on it ever since my gorgeous hubby took my on my first cruise back when we physically met for the first time. He had sent me air-tickets to meet him and also booked a cruise for us on the Sovereign of the Seas - the 3 night Nassau round trip from Port Canaveral.

IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! I loved it. I put on 5 kilos on that one trip alone it was fantastic! The food was great - I loved the various bars and the casino and the slow but leisurely moving through the ocean.
We live in SUCH a fast paced life these days - all of us - I think that is the renewed appeal of cruising, that it is a leisurely paced vacation of choice. You can do as many things on the programme as you want to - or - you can just pull up a deck chair, wave over the drinks boy and do nothing but watch the clouds roll by and the sun sparkle on the water.
NOW - my IDEAL cruise would be the Queen Mary 2 in the Holyrood Suite for 3 months. Yes readers - 3 months :)

I mean LOOK AT THIS! - and those Brit lads with those impeccable manners and impeccably tailored trousers - total bonus.

*sigh* - I could be biased because it was the 2nd night of our cruise, and my man and I were sitting up in the Viking Crown Lounge overlooking the moonlit wake of the ship, sipping expensive port - that I decided I was in love with this man. Again....... *sigh*
And I still fall in love with him every time I look into those gorgeous Puerto Rican eyes of his.

Ever since I got seasick at 17 years old, I vowed I would never step on a cruise ship again.
Twenty years later (or so ;)) Poodle and I went on a specail 4 day cruise from NYC to the Bahamas -- on the QM2.
I didn't get sick at all, the food was glorious, the Canyon Ranch spa saw my mug every day (twice on the last day) and Poodle and I had a nice room. It wasn't a suite, but it was a balcony room. Fantastic.
Although, it took me about 2 weeks to fully get my land legs back.
I'm very delicate, you know.
LOL - glad to hear you had a good time tho.
I cant wait to eventually get on it :)
