................ it does say a LITTLE too much about me - a youngest child.
Article shamelessly stolen from Mikeinbama's journal "Shadow Of My Life".
If you haven't been, surf over and tell him Damien sent you. It is yet another interesting blog that is written with sincerity and humility. We need more of both in the world.
Shalom all.
Good news! The reason you're a complete failure may not be because you're lazy or dimwitted. In fact, it might have more to do with your birth order. If you don't believe me, just listen to this . . .
#1.) First-born and only children tend to be more ambitious and aggressive than their younger siblings. So it makes sense that, in general, they're more highly educated and they earn more money.
Overall, more than half of all Nobel Prize winners and U.S. presidents have been first-born children, and every astronaut that's ever gone into space has either been an eldest or only child.
#2.) Middle children tend to be more easy-going and peer-oriented than their siblings. What I mean by that is, since they can get lost in the shuffle of their own families, middle kids tend to develop good people skills and have lots of friends.
Oh yeah, and middle children tend to earn the least of everyone.
#3.) Youngest children tend to be creative, charming and even a little manipulative. Since they relate to the underdog, youngest kids tend to take up causes benefiting the "oppressed"
#4.) Twins are a tough call since they can be the oldest, youngest or in the middle. In general, twins are treated relatively similarly, so they tend to turn out alike.

I'm a first born and I'd say that describes me. In college I wrote a paper on birth order for my Psychology major. It's a very interesting subject!
