........................21 things of me from 2009.....................

..................totally stolen from Brahm over at Alfred Lives Here. If you haven't been to his blog then please do surf over and check it out - yet another interesting and intelligent person putting thought to e-paper.

So here it is.................

1- What did you do in 2009 that you had never done before?
Taken the lead in our relationship in terms of life decisions. I am usually a total consensus decision maker usually. I also began a blog :) - The very one you are reading.

2- Did you keep your New Year's Resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
One made and one kept - that to pay more attention to my health and eating and to lose some weight - accomplished. I will continue this through 2010..

3- Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope.

4- Did anyone close to you die?
Yes - my Nan.

5- What would you like to have next year that you missed this year?
A life - including a social life with friends - a gym life for my health - a proper holiday with my husband - better jobs for us both - good health for my mother :)

6- What countries did you visit?
New Zealand - Australia.

7- What from this year will remain etched in your memory?
My Nan dying. The effect that had on my mum and the decision to move back home as a result, and a great boss who took a chance on me in NZ - further, the wonderful bunch of readers that visit the blog.

8- What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Losing 15kgs of fat - putting on 10kgs of muscle thanks to the assistance of an amazing man also known as the trainer :) - yes I still have a way to go :)

9- What was your biggest failure?
Not being there for my mum.

10- Did you suffer illness or injury?
Just the usual Clinical Depression - but it wasn't too bad this year- YAY.

11 - What was the best thing you bought?
Air tickets to Australia.

12- What was your best secret guilty pleasure this year?
The usual - wine - food - wine with Penny - porn - my penis.

13 - Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Lisa Lohan and Miley Cyrus - ho brigade.
Sarah Palin and Joe Liebermann - amoral minion parade.
Gordon Ramsey - showing again that money does not equal class - but crass.
The Taliban - enuff said.
The current Israeli government - politics by unbridled force with no moral restraint.

14 - Where did most of your money go?
Debt ............. and paying for alibis - those hookers all killed themselves I tells ya.

15 - What did you get really really excited about?
President Obama (and yes please use the title - respect people)- not excited anymore - but am still hopeful overall.

My Prime Minister - finally.......... someone with an IQ in the big chair.

16 - What song will always remind you of 2009?
For Good - Kristin Chenoweth.

17 - What celebrity did you fancy or admire the most?
Fancy - Taylor Lautner & Zach Quinto - no surprises there.
Admire - Kathy Griffin - D List to A List - and she did it with willpower and perseverance - go you little hot ginge!

18 - What political issue stirred you the most?
Ex-Tamil Terrorists trying to people smuggle themselves into my country - why are we not sending them back and/or sinking their boats. I am okay with that - really. These people used to bomb children for fuck sakes!

19 - Who do you want to shake?
The United Nations - for not making an international declaration in support of same sex immigration.

20 - Who do you want to never hear about again?
Octo-Mum, those skanks the Gosselins and that damned Pregnant Man - she was NOT a man - and no I am not prejudiced against transgenders - I used to work with them - but HE was a SHE in transition - NOT a man. Oy friggin vey.

21 - Who was the best new person you met?
All those great people behind the blogs I read - special mention to Scott "Bill In Exile" - Lady Sue "Fair View Sue" - My Mutt "Muttonchopped Mutant" - V "Maybe It's Just Me" - and Michael Rivers.

Thank you all.

Shalom
