Are you okay? While the comment may have been out of line, your reaction has me thinking that your depression had a major flair up or your meds are out of whack. I hope you feel better soon and continue blogging.
Now about your comment on American bloggers and the recent disasters - you live there and I would come to your blog for better info and found nothing. You wrote one line about the earthquake and two or three short posts about the flooding. I'm not trying to be critical although it might read that way.
