The Gayelle Search For Perfection...

...AKA because whining about how lonely they are is really what it is all about....

I've written about this before and I know many of you have your own point of view on this but I am seriously so sick to death of gay men whining about how lonely they are because they can't find anyone, but then find out that the standards they have set for others - NOT THEMSELVES mind you - but others, are so ridiculously surreal that they will NEVER find anyone.

Pull.

Your.

Heads.

Out.

Of.

Your.

Arse.

Get a grip and realise EVERYONE has flaws.... NO ONE (not even you my dear) is perfect..... You will NEVER find someone who matches your current laundry list.... Nor will you ever be happy whilst you HAVE a "list".

Example - previously referred to.... Hot Hot Hot guy in his 20's meets fatty in his 30's at a social function.  They chat.  They both realise each other is a nice guy, so they begin socialising and building a friendship.  6 months later.... Hot Guy moves in with Fat Guy and they live happily ever after.   True story.

For those who sit around whining about how they are so lonely - you are doing so because you are COMFORTABLE doing it - you ENJOY it - you can yell at me all you want but you have reached a point where the self imposed loneliness is now an old friend.  And you're obstinance means you refuse to re-evaluate the rose coloured / beer goggled glasses you have on.

Here's the question.... do YOU meet your own standards?  Probably not.  But you'll continue to demand it of others.

I understand.  I've been there myself.  But at some point you need to put the glasses down and really think about what it is you are after?

Judge Judy said "Beauty fades - dumb is forever" - although in this case I would rephrase it to be "Dumb is forever lonely".

I genuinely wish you all who are lonely the very best of luck on your search and hope you find someone.  But right now, I am not so sure that you will.

And that makes me sad.

Blessings to you all.

Damien

Powerful but true.

You might not be able to change your destination over night, but you sure can change your direction!

"You will never be happy whilst you have a list." That is a jewel!

I have a strong feeling that when I let my heart find my man-it worked out a whole lot better than if I had a list of checked off boxes.
