Fitness Tip of the Week

Question: How do I know if I am hydrated or not and why is it important during exercise?

First off, being hydrated during exercise is one of the most important things that should be on your pre-exercise check-list. Hydration basically helps your body function efficiently. Without it every workout is going to be a struggle as there is more restriction on how much oxygen can be transported through you body's working muscles.

How to tell if your de-hydrated?

Headaches, bright coloured strong smelling urine, feeling thirsty (this is a sign that you are already de-hydrated, get some fluid in! but gradually)

So stay hydrated every day - you will notice the difference!
