...........Ecch - I think I am getting the flu..............
I got the sore throat and difficulty sleeping and my appetite is gone and I have the dripping nose.
Oy vey - I can't afford to get sick right now - I'm only week two into my new job.
Yes .. throw down two codral tablets (day and night or day .. doesnt matter just has to be codral and do another dose 3 hours later if necessary) plus a nice glass of red ... .. trust me. It will ward off those intial flu bugs. The Codral is the trick .. the red is just a bonus .. or is it?? I am serious in that it works for me every time!
Oh my god the flu is NO fun! I had it early in the year and that entire week I was wondering if I was going to die! The best bet is too... 1.) Lay in bed... 2.) Bundle up... 3.) have a trash can by the bed (when you have to vomit you'll feel too week to get out of bed)... 4.) Eat plenty of soup and drink tons of water and juices... 5.) eat healthily... 6.) Load up on Nyquil and Thera flu... Basically, let it run it's course. I had it for a week...got better, but it lingered for a few more days.
I'm a bit of a natural rememdy kinda guy, so hot honey and lemon drinks to soothe your throat, warm brandy (or whiskey if its all you've got) just before bed to help you sleep and dose up on eccinachea to fight the flu and vitamin B to restore your energy. Dress warm and spend as much time as possible in a nice warm bed.
It works for me. Oh and there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a man about the whole thing and expecting your husband to wait on you hand and foot until you get better!
I think I have it too! But I don't have to go into work at least... I feel really lousy. Had a slight fever last night with a sore throat, headache, body aches, stuffy nose, upset tummy. I took 2 tylenols and went to bed. Sigh.
