...2 Remember .... Yom HaShoah....
......pause to remember all the victims of mans worst evil.....
Years ago, I joined a friend and his family during Yom HaShoah. We lit candles and said kaddish for the dead.
It was a very profound and influential occassion; I felt honored to be included. At the time, I was cynical of faith and religion (my Christian faith had failed me and cast me aside, or so I thought). Taking part of the private remembrance and realizing it was occuring all over the planet - it touched me.
I haven't seen my friend in many years but I still have fond memories of him and his family. Thank you for helping me to remember, Damien.
