Who Did It Better? ... Glee...v... Streisand...

WOW what a close one last weeks was.  The Cheno edged out Chris Colfer by 1 vote!!!

NOW - THIS is going to cause some debate and queening out (I hope).

"Don't Rain On My Parade"

Lea Michelle

Babs

OK - no brainer for me.  It's the Streisand all the way.

What about you what do YOU think?

Don't forget to vote!

Shalom and love

Please as if anyone could compare to the great Ms. Streisand!

Hi Damien,

Very interesting match you put together this time.

I think in a few spots Lea did a good job but overall, I think it was just to much song for her.

But it is Streisand all the way! She made this her song, along with many others and it is really brave for anyone to do one of them.

Hope all is well with you and yours.

UGH... I know I'm going to get flack for this one, but I vote for Lea. DON'T KILL ME!!!

Since Lea performed the song back in Season 1, it's been my ringtone. So gay, right!

Lea all the way. Babs has always had too nasal a voice for my liking.

YAY!!! Glad to see someone has my back... TEAM LEA!!!

Barbra is the clear winner her. Lea's voice is beautiful, but the performance is more an imitation than an interpretation.....even her phrasing and vocal 'improv' is virtually identical. Doesn't compare to the original. It's funny that this fact is even mentioned in the most recent season when her character auditions for a re-make of Funny Girl....the producers won't be looking for an imitation of the original (which this clearly is).

Comparing the voice alone... and supposing that someone has been living under a rock and had never heard of either singer... I would vote for Lea.

But who can deny that Barbra's career has gone and will go farther that any current artist could ever hope to go.
