Uganda Nigeria Iran Saudi Arabia Yemen Sudan etc etc etc

So - this is how LGBT's are currently treated worldwide.......

This is a chart of the devolution of equal rights to state sponsored death sentences.......

This is a map of the extermination camps of WW2 - where Jews, Gypsies, Catholics, The Mentally Ill, Communists and.......... oh yes ................. homosexuals............ were exterminated.....

1941 - 2014 ............... nothing learnt.

How tragic is the human race.....

And yet, we allow it to go on.

And on.

And on.

Various differences....

All targeted for death.....

And so it goes on.....

I am ashamed to be human.

"1941 - 2014 ............... nothing learnt."

Compare a map of nations that considered homosexuality illegal (pretty much all of them) to the one for today, where it is legal in most countries. I'm also pretty sure that no country is rounding up gays and putting them into concentration camps, not even the ones where homosexuality is still punished by death.

Just in my lifetime things have changed immensely. Forty years ago, when I was in the Army, being gay would get you kicked out (probably with an "Undesirable" discharge,) and you faced the possibility of jail time in most states. We still have a long way to go, but to say "nothing learnt" is just an unwarranted exaggeration.

I totally agree with you Damien.
Yes, there have been major improvements, but all in all… they mostly still hate us for having sex.

Rob - you missed the point.

It doesn't matter how many nations legalise equality, there are still nations killing people for who they are.

And we allow them too.

Just as we initially did in WW2.

We should not be bystanders.
