Party - I miss my old job.
It was a TOTALLY dysfunctional place to work but I met two people there that I really connected with.
Penny - A wonderful and scary smart lady who is also totally classy. When I first met her I was a little concerned - Penny isn't the sort to click with people at work. One morning she just came up and chatted over her morning coffee. I was like "WTF??""""" But we completely connected and now I am very fortunate to consider this lady a friend. And a LADY she is.
Cormac - Very quiet. Somewhat conservative. But very intelligent and totally compelling in a "I know what you did last summer" kind of way. He misses nothing - but says nothing. The sort of guy who would make a PERFECT spy. We got drunk together not that long ago and I completely connected with him.
My partner says I am too smart to be a housewife. That someone with an IQ of 142 needs constant stimulation otherwise boredom descends into depression. He might be right.
So.... I am continuing to work on my novel and I am writing some new music so hopefully this will help me.
Although I think a job would help too. It seems I am "overqualified" for the jobs I am applying for. Yet not getting an interview for ANY of the high level jobs I am going for *sigh*.
Something will come along I know.

Hey I'm not sure what I missed........ but what happened to your job? I don't remember reading about it being a victim of the cuirrent economy? *confused*........

Have you considered volunteering? It would keep you busy and you could help out some really needy folks. The realm of what you could do is wide open: from soup kitchens to counseling.
Tom - yup - the government here was told to tighten their belts so my admin job was made redundant.
Sue - I have actually - there are a few things around that I am interested in - but has to be put on hold whilst I job search first.
PS Tom - you HAVE to do nothing :)
